This is a full page scan from my mini-sketchbook. Just some scribbles and sketches, but I'll see if I can't give you information on each one.
Upper Left: Faze, the size-shifting coon, not being too macro. Just trying a different look for his coat, and maybe a bit of a slight change with his face. Not much else to mention.
Upper Right: Its Stretch Ferret, from Suburban Jungle. Sure this was in my last scrap post, but here it is on page 7.
Middle Left: Salen, thats me! Just trying out a different styling. Seeing real ferrets made me want to try to draw myself more... well.. ferret like.
Middle Right: A Bunny-Roo head scribble. asked me to try and draw him perhaps, so I figured I'd at least learn how to draw a bunny-roo first. Not that great but hey, its art.
Lower Left: Saleen, in a cool coat. Who's that? Uh, no clue. I know nothink! NOTHINK! So yeah... next picture please.
Lower Right: Action Pose practice! Woot! In the upcoming web comic, LXF (League of Extraordinary Furries), Salen is a staff weilding super hero with the powers of invisiblity. And since I've been playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance lately, I figured I should draw something SUPERHEROIC looking. Ergo, this scribble of Salen laying some smack down on someone with his staff. Woot!
Ok, thats it for now. Laters!
Art by me. Characters by me (except Bunnaroo but I didn't really draw him).
Nice cross! I like the macropusic muzzle. (, even if you don't draw any more.)
If it helps, J.R. Bunnaroo was lepimorph originally. That's why the ears are so long. The kangaroo additons were part of a gene-splicing experiment, so the ears became more round. Since his ears became so large, they are held together behind his head by a pair of magnetic studs in his ears.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
